Most sparkling sake from Japan are artificially carbonated, or with a cloudy appearance. However Masumi Sparkling Sake takes a step more to ensure its quality and taste.

Masumi Sparkling is awarded Platinum in 2018 Sake Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles's Sparkling Sake Division.
Masumi Sparkling is also certified by the Japan Awasake Association, which aims to clearly distinguish quality sparkling sake from the many sparkling sakes found in Japan.
Only sakes complying to strict association standards - clear and transparent sake with natural sparkling from secondary fermentation, using selected rice, water, and malted rice can be certified.
Resealable, retaining bubbling properties
Masumi Sparkling comes with a reusable cork ZORK, a new alternative to classic cork.
It is proven to provide more quality closure for quality wines and champagnes, while keeping the conventional "pop" of a cork.

Where we are is who we are
Masumi sake is at heart a product of our place and the people who live here. That place is known as Suwa, a highland basin surrounded by the Yatsugatake “Eight Peaks” Range, Mount Tateshina, and the Kirigamine Highlands.
Our sake benefits directly from the region’s clean air, pure water, and long cold winters.
The water is naturally filtered through the mountains and drawn directly from the wells. Water is low in minerals and imparts a soft, light, and flavorful character to the sakes.
We believe sake is the joint creation of sake makers and rice farmers, so we use only newly harvested rice of highest quality from trusted farmers.
By 2019, Masumi Brewery is committed to returning to the roots by using only our own, proprietary strains of the Number Seven Yeast, with highly experienced and skilled team.
