    Sanriku Collection from Tohoku Region

Since 2011, we have been committed to strengthening the connection between Japan and Singapore. We deliver valuable Japanese collections that are exclusively hand-picked by our CEO. Our platform connects local Japanese artisans brands to our members around the world.

    About us

    Sanriku,
A coastal area along the east of Tohoku Region of Japan

Sanriku is famous for delicious seafood and sakes unique to the Tohoku region, a region that benefits abundantly from the vast nature, clean water, weather, rice, and other natural blessings.

With the abundance of seafood, there are also many sake breweries that have existed for a long time, and many sake made with techniques inherited from craftsmen who have passed on their skills from generation to generation.

    Sanriku,
A world premier fishery zone, a treasure trove behind Japan fish cuisines.

This is a project to introduce the rich seafood of Sanriku,, one of the world’s three major fishing grounds, to Singapore.

Focusing on premium fishes - abalone, sea urchin, salmon roe, and crab, and deliver them to Singapore along with the voices of the producers.

Please enjoy the delicious seafood of Sanriku.

    Sanriku,
The world’s number one fishing ground

Off the coast of Japan’s Sanriku region, there is a “shiome” where 2 currents meet.

The Oyashio Current carries cold-current fish species from the coast of Alaska, and the Kuroshio Current carries warm-current marine fish from the equatorial region, making it one of the best fishing grounds in the world.

In addition, the Rias Coast, which symbolizes the topography of Sanriku, is a good natural harbor with calm waves  and mineral-rich nutrients of the forest. It is also said to be the “cradle of the sea” to grow rich aquaculture products.

    Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiatives

Many companies involved in the Sanriku fisheries industry were severely damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.

Because of this crisis, each company is thinking of making Sanriku a sustainable region and continue an industry with the blessings of the sea, that will pass to the next generation.

In recent years, Sanriku fisheries are actively engaged in the production and spread of sustainable seafood. It is being reborn as a leading region for sustainable fishing and aquaculture in Japan.
