What is the Rice of Chiba (ROC) series?

Rice of Chiba (ROC) Series, uses Chiba-grown rice as 1 of the main ingredients for sake. Making use of the rice at it’s best condition as well as different methods for brewing sake.

The purpose of this is to promote rice produced in Chiba Prefecture.
Kankiku-meijo brewery searched for the best way to brew and process the Chiba-grown rice.

Using technology and brewing methods, they are able to produce this unfiltered, unpasteurised sake in extremely small quantities. From washing rice to bottling the sake, Kankiku-meijo brewery puts heart and soul into this product.

It's unfiltered raw sake with direct-drawing,
how is it special?

In order to show the characteristics of “Gohyakumangoku” from the others sake. Kankiku Meijo brewery uses a long-term low-temperature fermentation process.

This brewing process of sake is called unfiltered raw sake, “無濾過生原酒” and by fermenting it at a low temperature for a long time it brings out the delicate flavour of the ingredients used.

With direct-drawing, they're freshly pressed and bottled on the spot, taking as much time and effort as possible to keep it as airtight as possible, so that it has a fizzy, mouthwatering taste reminiscent of champagne.
Direct drawn enables you to enjoy the fresh taste that only the brewer or brewer's staff would normally be able to enjoy.

You can also enjoy the natural slight sparkling sensation achieved by direct-drawing from the tank.
Fresh sparkling dissolves in, filling the mouth with soft and voluptuous flavor and sweetness like fruity aroma reminiscent of pears!
The clean acidity and slight sparkling give the taste a refreshing and crisp feeling.
It's recommended to have with champagne or wine glass to enjoy a different experience!
